Belly Dancing for Beginners

This is a reoccuring event.
In this class, students will focus on hip-work articulation, shimmies, body undulations, elegant arm/hand techniques and basic Middle Eastern dance culture. Participants will learn a variety of dance styles from Persian, Egyptian, Turkish, Iraqi and Afghani traditions. Classes are designed to create a noncompetitive environment where community members can improve their health, body image and creativity. Students will experience a thorough, safe and gentle workout while achieving balance, tone, posture awareness and strength.
