 PSAT MATH PREPARATION (Grades 7-9) (541*)
This course will help students develop a personalized plan for PSAT preparation, while providing extensive practice opportunities for the Mathematics sections of the PSAT. Students will study essential facets of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, data analysis and logic
that directly relate to PSAT and SAT performance, including linear equations and systems in algebraic expressions, data analysis and quantitative literacy, and fluency with complex equations.
Instructor: Ahmad Khanssari has
a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from San José State University and worked as a system design engineer in the electronics industry. He subsequently earned an MBA and a master’s degree in education from the University of Southern California. He has taught mathematics for six years.
Class requirements: Tablet or computer with internet capability. Students must purchase a required workbook: Barron’s PSAT/NMSQT With Online Tests, 19th Edition (ISBN-13: 978-1438011066).

PYTHON PROGRAMMING – BEGINNING
(Grades 1-4) (467*)
The course will introduce students to the Python programming language
in a simple, fun and easy way, using Python graphics. Students will learn the fundamentals of the Python language and then implement those fundamentals by drawing various shapes and creating greeting cards.
Instructor: Pragati Dharmale has taught for more than 12 years in schools and industry, including courses in engineering and programming languages. She has also worked as a senior design engineer for Whirlpool in India, a web and software developer for Resource Navigation in Boston, and a data security processor for Intuit in Tucson.
