Quick Notes for the Week of Sept. 22


Welcome to Fall Quarter!

Bookstore Has Extended Hours Through Next Week

Bookstore entranceThe campus Bookstore will be open for extended hours during the first two weeks of the quarter.

This week (Sept. 22-26):

  • Monday-Thursday: 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Friday: 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Next week (Sept. 29-Oct. 3):

  • Monday-Thursday: 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Friday: 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

The campus store is closed on the weekends, but you can shop online – 24/7 – at deanzastore.com .


Temporary Restroom Closures: Campus Center and Others

Please Use Lower Level Restrooms

Restrooms on the second floor of the Campus Center are currently closed so workers can repair a water leak. Please use the restrooms on the lower level of the Campus Center instead.

L5, S2 and S6 Buildings

Workers are renovating restrooms in the L5, S2 and S6 buildings this fall. Those restrooms will be unavailable through April 2026. Signs will be posted to provide directions to other available restrooms.

  • There may be loud noise resulting from interior concrete demolition in L5, S2 and S6 through tomorrow – Tuesday, Sept. 23.
  • Parking Lot F, which is normally reserved for college employees, will be closed through February 2026 so it can be used as a staging area for the restroom project and other work.

New Parking Requirements for Fall

Parking remains free for students and employees during the 2025-26 academic year. However, plans are underway to require students and employees to obtain free parking permits. Watch for more information, coming soon.

  • Visitors will be required to pay fees beginning in January.
  • Students and visitors should not park in areas marked for staff parking.

There's Still Time to Add Classes

Add Classes Through Oct. 5 With an Add Code

Remember, students can still add classes with an add code from the instructor through Sunday, Oct. 5. Find detailed instructions on the Adding and Dropping Classes webpage.


The Hub and Roary's Market

New Name, Location for Food Pantry and Basic Needs

Hub logoCheck out The Hub and Roary's Market in their new, expanded location in the Baldwin Winery building. Look for the entrance on the north side of the building, facing the A Quad and Stevens Creek Boulevard. (Financial Aid is on the other side.)

The Hub has:

  • Snacks, toiletries, period products, baby supplies, school supplies and other useful items
  • Roary's Closet – if you need a coat or other clothing items
  • Information about campus services to assist you
  • Referrals and help with completing applications for off-campus resources
  • Computers you can use to find resources and submit applications

If you need food assistance, you can get free meat, produce, dairy products and other grocery items. Roary's Market is located inside the new Hub. You can find more information and hours of operation at deanza.edu/resources/hub/roarys-market.


New Career Center

Resources, Career Counseling and More

Career Center entranceThe new Career Center provides students with the resources, guidance and opportunities needed to explore careers, build professional skills and prepare for employment.

Services include:

  • Academic and career counseling
  • Resume and interview support
  • Job and internship placement
  • Access to specialized tools for career exploration

The Career Center is located in SEM 1 and is open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 10 a.m.-noon on Fridays. Learn more at deanza.edu/career-center.
