A Win-Win for Students and Employers

The Learning Aligned Employment Program (LAEP) helps underrepresented students find paid internships and jobs in fields related to their major or career goals. When possible, the program tries to connect students with employers who can offer full-time positions after graduation.

LAEP is a win-win for both students and employers: In addition to providing access to a diverse pool of motivated workers, LAEP covers a substantial part of the cost to employ each student – 50% for companies and 90% for nonprofits.

De Anza's LAEP program is co-sponsored by the Career Training Division andthe  Occupational Training Institute (OTI).

If you are a student or employer who's interested in learning more or participating in the LAEP program, please send an email to Sabrina Stewart, OTI program supervisor, at stewartsabrina@deanza.edu. Be sure to write "LAEP De Anza" in the email subject line.
