Special Hours To Start the Quarter

Some student services offices will have modified or extended hours for the first two weeks of a new quarter. You can find a list of these special hours below.

Be sure to visit the Student Services Directory to learn about all the services available on campus and to locate the websites for individual offices, where you'll find contact information and hours when you can reach them. Most offices offer assistance in person AND on Zoom.

• Academic and Progress Probation: Academic Awareness

  For the first two weeks of the quarter College Life will be open Friday, April 13, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and Friday, April 20, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in addition to their regular hours, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. M-Th

• Counseling

  • Students who have attended De Anza for at least two quarters are also welcome to contact the General Counseling Center – visit their website for regular hours and more information.

  • If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, stay home and call your primary doctor, health care provider's nurse hotline, or Valley Medical Center at 408.885.5000.

• International Student Programs

  For the first week of the quarter, office hours will be extended to 5 p.m. on Wednesday (9 a.m.-5 p.m.)

  ISP academic counselors will have extended drop-in hours for the following weeks:

  1. First week of the quarter: April 8 - 12
  2. Summer Class Registration Week: May 13 - 17
  3. Last Week of Instruction: June 17 - 21

  Extended drop-in hours are as follows:

  • Mondays:
    • 10 a.m.–noon (online and in person)
    • 2–4 p.m. (online only)
  • Tuesdays:

• Learning Communities

• Library

  Visit the Library website for regular hours and contact information.

  • To borrow a laptop, tablet or calculator, visit the Library's Technology Lending website.
  • Other services including databases, e-books and streaming video are available anytime online. Visit the Library website for more information
  • All reference services are available online through the "Chat with a Librarian" function on the Library website, staffed Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. 

• Mental Health and Wellness Center

  Visit the MHWC website for regular hours and contact information.

  • If you have an emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest hospital.
  • If you need support, see the Mental Health and Wellness Center homepage for a list of 24-hour hotlines.
  • Online services include

• Occupational Training Institute (OTI)

• Outreach Office

  Outreach counselors will be available for drop-in sessions (for 10 minutes only; no appointment needed) during spring break and the first two weeks of the quarter. They will resume scheduled appointments on April 22.

  April 1-5:  Counselors will be available for drop-ins in person only, in RSS 127, during spring break:

  • Monday, Wednesday and Thursday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
  • Tuesday: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Friday: 9 a.m. to noon

  April 8-19: Counselors will be available for drop-ins in person and on Zoom for the first two weeks of the quarter, during these hours:
