De Anza's Accounting Program
The De Anza Accounting Program is designed to provide the accounting and business coursework to students who need to qualify to sit for the Uniform Certified Public Accounting (CPA) exam. A summary of requirements to sit for the CPA Exam as of March, 2018:
Applicants must provide evidence of a baccalaureate or higher degree, or foreign equivalency, in any subject, a total of 150 semester units, including:

- 24 Semester (or 36 Quarter) Units of Accounting Subjects (View course list)
- 24 Semester (36 Quarter) Units of Business-Related Subjects (View course list)
- 10 Units of ethics study, including a minimum of three semester or four quarter units in courses devoted to accounting ethics or accountants' professional responsibilities.(View ACCT 74 - Accounting Ethics)

A strategy many students have used, after attaining a four-year degree (in nearly any subject), is to then begin taking Accounting and Business courses needed to qualify for the exam based on the student’s time available and the course offerings.
