College Email Account Information
Students: To learn how to apply for your college email account, please visit the College Email Accounts webpage. You'll find more information by clicking on the "Student College Email" icon in the MyPortal apps section (be sure to read the instructions and the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on the Student College Email page in MyPortal).
Pay special attention to the following items:
- Student College Email Accounts are only for students currently enrolled in classes and get deactivated three (3) months after the student's last quarter of enrollment.
- If you have just registered for a class you need to wait at least five (5) hours before you can request an email address.
- If you have not received a notification email at your primary email address within twenty-four (24) hours of submitting your Student Email Application, please go back to the Student College Email page in MyPortal and try the Login link.
- You must always enter user@fhda.edu into the "Email, phone, or Skype" field on any website/app asking for your "Microsoft Sign in" information (e.g. Microsoft 365, Office, Outlook, etc.). Click here for details.
Microsoft 365 Account Information
Students: Please visit the Microsoft 365 for Students webpage for more information and access instructions.
Pay special attention to the following items:
- Student Microsoft 365 Accounts are only for students currently enrolled in classes and get deactivated after the student's last quarter of enrollment.
- You must always enter user@fhda.edu into the "Email, phone, or Skype" field on any website/app asking for your "Microsoft Sign in" information (e.g. Microsoft 365, Office, Outlook, etc.). Click here for details.
Requesting Support
If you've already consulted those sites and items and you are still having trouble with requesting or accessing your college email or Microsoft 365 account, the Office of College Life may be able to help.
To request assistance, send an email from your personal email account to collegelife@deanza.edu. Please include all of the following information.
- Name:
- Campuswide ID (CWID):
- Are you enrolled in any classes for the current quarter?:
- Are you enrolled in any classes for the upcoming quarter?:
- Are you currently or have you ever been a Student Employee or other type of employee at De Anza College or Foothill College?:
- Cell/Mobile phone number:
- Personal email address:
- College email address (if applicable):
Either a student account starting with LastnameFirstname and ending in @student.deanza.edu or @student.foothill.edu, or if you're a student employee, an account starting with LastnameFirstname and ending in @deanza.edu, @foothill.edu, or @fhda.edu. Note that cwid@fhda.edu (e.g. 12345678@fhda.edu) is not your email address, it is your Microsoft Account Username and it should not be used or given out as your email address. To verify your email address, please click on your profile icon in the top right part of the Outlook window and click on View Account. - State the issue(s) you are having with your college email and/or Microsoft 365 account:

- Copied and pasted URLs (web addresses) for all error messages (text, not images):
- Screenshots of all error messages showing the full browser windows including both the messages and the addresses (images):
